Nirekha peak climbing is a great summit in the border Himalayan range based on Khumbu region. Nirekha Peak is located on the same chain as the Lobuche summits, just east of the Cho La Col, with the famous Cho-La Pass only a few hundred meters away. This peak was listed in 2006 as a new peak in Group ‘A’ trekking peaks. In April 2003 the first ascent was done by Matt Florets and Greg Valentine. The second successful ascent was done by an all women team in October 2003.In addition, the trails are less crowded and the people are friendly. Kyanjin Gompa is situated below Langtang Lirung (7246 m). We establish base camp on a meadow at 5033m and climb Yala Peak the next day. The last 400m is on ice so we will be using crampons, ice axe and rope. The summit is renowned for being an excellent vantage point from which Lantang Lirung, Dorje lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Naya kanga peak, Gangchempo, Shishapangma (8013m), the highest mountain wholly in Tibet.
Day 01 : Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Take rest and free.
Upon arrival at the international airport, meet our assistant and transfer to the hotel (star category, and very nice centrally located in Thamel). Take a rest and enjoy a free afternoon.
Day 02 : Trekking preparation and permit paper work day.
After breakfast drive around the city with the tour guide to see Kathmandu's historical and spiritual attractions; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath), and Buddha Nath, one of the largest stupas in the world. After that we head back to hotel and prepare for the trek. Stay overnight at Hotel.
Day 03 : Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m), trek to phakding (2,610m)
Early morning fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (30 to 40 minutes) and makes final preparations. From Lukla you'll pass Chaurikharka village and make a descent towards the Ghat (2,530m). The trail follows the bank of the Dudhkosi River. To assist acclimatization, this first day is short. But if people are still interested to do some more activities they will have an opportunity to do the side trip to a monastery from the hotel. After a 3 to 4 hour trip, we stay overnight at a lodge.
Day 04 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,444m)
The trail follows the Dodh Kosi River banks and arrives in Tok Tok. You can see excellent views of Thamserku peak from here. The trail climbs to Chomoa, the site of an agricultural project farm. Then the trail climbs to Monju (2,840m) and enters the Sagarmatha National Park Area (1,148 sq km, established in 1976). Walking some distance up you will be at Jorsale (2830m) and after crossing the last (fifth) bridge, there is another long climb from where you can have a view of Mt. Everest, over the right Nupste (7,879m). After 5 to 6 hrs walking the trail reaches the street of Namche Bazaar at last. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar and witness the snow capped mountains and Sherpa heritage
Day 06 : Namche Bazaar to Khumjung: (3,790m)
After having breakfast, we will climb up to the Shyangboche airstrip. Just above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel with great views of the highest mountains in Everest Region. Trekking time 3 to 4 hours today. Stay overnight at a lodge or in our tents.
Day 07 : Khumjung to Dole (4,200m)
After breakfast trek up and down Moung La (3,973m) and Phortse Thanga (3,675m), after that all the way up to Dole. Trekking time 5 to 6 hrs. Stay overnight at Lodge / Tent.
Day 08 : Dole to Machhermo (4,410m)
After breakfast trek climb up the trail and walk to Luza (4,360m) and then next to Machhermo. Trekking time 4 to 5 hours today. Stay overnight at a lodge or in our tents.
Day 09 : Machhermo to Gokyo (4,750m)
After breakfast the trail goes to 1st Lake and 2nd Lake via Gokyo. Trekking time 4 to 5 hrs. Stay overnight at Lodge / Tent.
Day 10 : Gokyo Ri (5,350m) and Rest day
Early morning wake up and start climbing to Gokyo Ri (5350m). There are really great views from top of the Gokyo Ri in Everest Region. Thre hours up and 1 hour to come down leaves us needing to take a rest. Stay overnight at Lodge / Tent.
Day 11 : Gokyo to Thangnak (4,750m)
After breakfast trek down Khumbu Glaciers to Thangnak. Trekking time is 2 to 3 hours. Stay overnight at Lodge / Tent.
Day 12 : Thangnak to Choo La Pass (5,330m) via Nirekha Base Camp
After an early morning cup of tea or coffee and breakfast we climb up to Choo La Pass (5,330m) via Crosse to the glacier then up to base camp. Trekking time today is 7 to 8 hours. Stay overnight in our tents.
Day 13 : Nirekha Base Camp to High Camp
After breakfast trek to the high camp. Trekking time today is 3 to 4 hours. Stay overnight at tented camp.
Day 14 : High Camp to Summit (6,159m)
After early morning tea/coffee start climb up towards the Nirekha Summit and then return back to base camp. Stay overnight at tented camp.
Day 15 : Base Camp to Pangboche (3,901m)
After breakfast trek all the way down to Pangboche. Trekking time is 5 to 6 hours. Stay overnight at tented camp.
Day 16 : Pangpoche to Namche Bazaar (3,444m)
After breakfast trek all the way back to Namche Bazaar. Trekking time is 5 to 6 hours. Stay overnight in a lodge or tent.
Day 17 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m)
After having breakfast, trek down to same way back to Lukla for our overnight stay at the lodge. Trekking timet 6 to 7 hrs. As a day of trek ending you can enjoy with all of potter for dinner or whatever you like to them for celebration
Day 18 : Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Today we have an early morning check-in at the Lukla airport and will fly back to Kathmandu. After arriving you'll head to your hotel. Today is a well-earned day to put up your weary feet and gratefully rediscover all of civilization's perks. You could catch up on some last minute shopping or explore any sights missed during your first day in Kathmandu. Finally there'll be an evening celebration dinner together.
Day 19 : Your own destination.
Drive to the international airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.
